Here are some helpful hints when receiving a massage:
1. Don’t feel like you have to talk when receiving a session. If your therapist is chatty please feel free to let them know that you wish to refrain from conversation. Your therapist will understand so you can completely relax. If you decide to talk during your session you tend to use muscles that you ordinarily would not use when you are relaxing and therefore interfearing with the healing process.
2. Undress to your comfort level. You will be fully draped with a sheet and blanket during your session. Your therapist will only undrape the part of your body that they are working on at the time.
3. Please advise your therapist if they are using too much pressure or too little pressure when they are working on your muscles.
4. Breathe during your session. Takeing slow deep breaths during your session will help your muscles to relax and pain to dissipate.
